Maura has completed over 500 hours of advanced yoga training and brings more than 20 years of teaching experience to her work with clients. Her background includes certifications in Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Prenatal Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and advanced anatomy based training. She has also done introductory course work in trauma-informed yoga principles that focus on creating safe, choice-based environments to support nervous system awareness and mindful movement. Maura completed an additional 300-hour advanced certification with Yoga Medicine® under Tiffany Cruickshank. This training emphasized anatomy, joint function and dysfunction, nervous system regulation, and therapeutic yoga applications. These additional 300 hours included advanced studies in shoulder, hip, and spine function, myofascial release techniques, yoga for athletes, women's health, and case study presentations. Maura integrates these trainings into her own teaching approach, blending evidence-informed movement principles with over two decades of practical teaching experience. Her classes are designed to support strength, balance, stress reduction, and sustainable long-term practice.

Maura is an independent yoga instructor and certified graduate of the Yoga Medicine® program, however, her online classes do not represent or operate on behalf of this organization. Yoga Medicine® is a registered trademark of Yoga Medicine.

About

Welcome to my online yoga studio platform.   I am excited to share with you the yoga classes and techniques that I've learned and used over the years that have helped me to feel stronger and more balanced physically, mentally, and emotionally throughout all the ups and downs of life so far.  I will be offering weekly vinyasa flow classes focusing on different areas of the body in order to assist students in creating a balance of strength and flexibility. I am also available for private online sessions which can be set up as a small group (2-6 people), or one on one.  One on one private sessions are helpful in figuring out what your individual yoga needs might be, and then learning to implement a daily routine that will hopefully off- set some of the imbalances you may be feeling in your body or in life. I am here for you as a guide and to help you track your progress.  For more information or to schedule a private session please feel free to contact me.  I am committed to keeping up to date with recent yoga research and discoveries, and to learning all that I can in order to give my students the best possible experience.  As a yoga teacher, I love practicing yoga and sharing its benefits, and I value the importance of creating a safe sustainable practice so that we can continue for years to come.  I look forward to seeing you in the next  zoom class or in a private session.  Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.  See you on the mat!
